Calling all writers!

📣Calling all writers! We are looking for new short scripts (or extracts from longer plays) no longer than 5 minutes in length to be performed Script-in-hand by professional Actors for a brand new scratch night at @aberdeenartscentre on the 29th of September.

'Rough Cut' Scratch night is a new scratch event raising funds for the Save the Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign. All proceeds raised will be used to help keep Aberdeen Arts Centre at the heart of our creative community.

This opportunity is perfect for anyone with a new script idea who is keen to hear it performed live by a team of professional Actors and receive feedback on the night from the audience and creatives. This opportunity is open to both new and experienced writers.

Deadline for submissions- Friday 19th of September

Writers will hear by the 23rd of September if their Scripts have been successful or not.

Light the Blue: May fly/May Not (work in progress)

May Fly/May Not aims to inspire and empower families to be creative together.

‘May Fly/May Not’ is a work in progress show for early years children and their families which tells the inspiring story of the first woman in the world to design, build and fly her own airplane. The show will finish with a workshop where you will be given the chance to play and be creative with your family.

This is a work in progress performance piece where the audience are invited to reflect and share feedback after the show.

The development of ‘May Fly/May Not’ has been generously funded by Creative Scotland and supported by Aberdeen Arts Centre.
