Who We Are

Mayfly Theatre acts as a collective of Artists who work together to create new ideas and opportunities for audiences and participants in the North East of Scotland. Our work is driven by our individual skills, interests, and the stories we want to tell.

Sarah Ord (She/her)

Sarah is a Theatre maker, creative producer, performer, writer and workshop facilitator from Aberdeen.

She specialises in Drama, movement, and play-based approaches and is committed to connecting with communities, collaborating and engaging and empowering people through the Arts.

Sarah is passionate about producing and creating high-quality theatre in the North East of Scotland, fostering opportunities for artists to come together to collaborate and create new work.

Laura Booth (She/her)

Laura is a Dance Artist from Aberdeen. She works in communities as a performer, bringing movement into people lives. Laura dances with Refugees, with those affected by cancer, people with additional support needs and any one else who would like to dance! Laura dances to play, connect and share joy!

Laura is an experienced performer, facilitator, collaborator and choreographer.

Leah Christie (She/Her)

Leah is an emerging Theatre Maker, Creative Facilitator from Moray, now based in Aberdeen.  She loves creating devised theatre, and has strong experience in Street Theatre and outdoor performance. She has a passion for community arts, and regularly leads drama classes for young people and adults, helping them to build confidence and creativity.

Through her work, she strives to inspire the creative community by creating engaging and inclusive Theatre experiences.


Amy Ord (she/her)

Amy is a graduate from the Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts (AAPA) and now works and studies in Edinburgh. She is an invaluable part of our team- assisting in workshops, rehearsals and all things music!
